Cruel Flurry is a special Ability Altering Set, obtainable from the Maelstrom Arena.
The Set belongs to a special category of Sets called Maelstrom Weapons, that represent a category of in-game weapons each.
This is basically The Maelstrom’s Dual Wield, available as a random drop from defeating the last boss of the Maelstrom Arena in veteran difficulty. The Set drops in every available Dual Wield Weapon, Sword, Axe, Dagger, Mace.
With this Set when you deal damage with Flurry, your single target damage over time abilities gain extra Spell and Weapon Damage.
To take advantage of the Set’s effect you have to use the Dual Wield Skill Flurry and its Morphs.
The set is often used with Stamina DPS PVE Builds that utilize the skill Flurry to deal damage and kill enemies. It can also be a great Set to use with PVP Builds that try to overcome their opponents with a combination of Dual Wield and Damage Over Time abilities.
