The ice pillar persists for 2 seconds and reduces the Movement Speed of all enemies within the radius by 50%. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds and the damage scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage. |

Winterborn Description
The Set is available as a drop in the Maelstrom Arena, located in the Wrothgar zone. To gain access to the Arena you must own the Orsinium DLC.
The Set’s bonuses boost your Maximum Magicka, Magicka Recovery, Weapon and Spell Damage. With its fifth piece bonus when you deal Frost Damage, you summon an ice pillar that deals Frost Damage to all enemies. The ice pillar persists and reduces the Movement Speed of all enemies. This effect scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
This is an amazing Light Armor Set for Frost Damage based PVE and PVP Builds. Its 2 to 4 piece bonuses boost your Maximum Magicka, Magicka Recovery and Damage, making the set a great option for Magicka Builds in-general. Its fifth piece bonus however allows you to create unique and interesting Ice Mage like Builds and focus on your Frost Damage abilities, gameplay.
The set is excellent for Magicka Wardens that want to focus on that aspect of the game and utilize their several Frost based abilities.
