What are Traits in Starfield and How Do they Work
Traits are optional characteristics you can pick for your character during the Character Creation process. You can pick up to three(3) Traits. Each Trait offers a significant advantage when following a certain type of gameplay, as well as a disadvantage. For example when you pick the Introvert Trait you will get more Endurance when traveling alone but you will also get less Endurance when you travel with other Human Companions!
Traits encourage you to explore a certain gameplay path in Starfield with the bonuses they give you. At the same time they stop you from becoming too powerful with the additional disadvantage. However it is possible to remove the negative effects of Traits later in the game by completing a quest-line or via another way!
Some Traits have opposites, which means that you cannot choose both. So if you pick the Introvert Trait, you cannot also pick the Extrovert Trait!
